Word on the block is that Wally World is ending the 3 decade-long tradition of placing greeters at the front door! Instead, the "greeters" will be placed by cash registers to help customers find products and shorter checkout lines. The company states that they just want to increase productivity and save money to protect margins and keep the prices in the store as low as possible.  Not sure how I feel about greeters tryna help me in other parts of the stores. I wonder how they would do in electronics....

So Howard Stern had comedian Chelsea Handler stop by his Sirius XM Radio Show the other day. And being the shock jock that he is...Stern HAD to bring up fued between her and comedian Nick Cannon and wifey Mariah.  When Mariah was brought up in conversation, Chelsea jokes about her diva antics. "She's worse than Elizabeth Taylor." Chelsea goes on to explain how it's impossible for anybody married to Mariah to possess a sense of humor. Then Chelsea started clownin the randomness of Mariah's fluctuating weight.

Leaving an impact in the world is easier said than done. But surely possible. MLK Jr. Steve Jobs. Michael Jackson. And now, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Etta James. Etta James passed away Friday morning January 20, 2012 at the age of 73. She had been fighting chronic leukemia since 2010. The doctors confirmed her battle with leukemia was the cause of death.   

"Etta James was a pioneer. Her ever-changing sound has influenced rock and roll, rhythm and blues, pop, soul and jazz artists, marking her place as one of the most important female artists of our time,'' said Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President and CEO Terry Stewart. "From Janis Joplin to Joss Stone, an incredible number of performers owe their debts to her. There is no mistaking the voice of Etta James, and it will live forever.''

The world says goodnight to Pioneer, Etta James. R.I.P.
