'SYTYCD' choreographer given 10-year prison sentence

Someone’s gonna have to take off his dancing shoes soon.
Today reported a former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Friday for raping one of his female students and assaulting another.
He now must also register as a sex offender for his entire life.
According to the UK’s Daily Mail, salsa instructor Alex Da Silva was convicted in a Los Angeles court last September.
He was being tried for raping a 22-year-old woman in August 2002 and assaulting a 25-year-old protégé seven years later. The charges were two of four allegations that the 43-year-old had sexually assaulted his students between 2003 and 2009 during their private lessons.
